Dr Lucinda Homer Coaching
Hello there,
It’s Monday and my newsletter is here.
Well, we are officially in December and (for me) the time has come to embrace all things Christmas.
I had a magical wintry day at Kedlestone Hall in Derbyshire on Saturday. I spent the day catching up with one of my oldest friends (by that I mean we have know each other for ever) and it was fab! It was also freezing and did not get above -1 all day. But that made for a gorgeous walk in the frost.
It's time for me to crack on with a few Christmassy things too. I have been known to get a bit carried away at this time of year, and last year I wrote a blog post about how I am trying to change my approach. You can read "20 ideas for a good enough Christmas from a recovering perfectionist" here. One of my key bits of learning is to make some time for me.
Remember, just doing one small thing might be all that you need to have a positive impact on your week.

Something to read...

"The buddy boost: how ‘accountability partners’ make you healthy, happy and more successful"
Anita Chaudhuri
This is something that really helps me to stick to my exercise plan. I am in a Facebook group and simply reading what others have posted spurs me on to do the same.

"How to Fail"
Elizabeth Day interviews Dawn French on fertility, friendship and being an anti-perfectionist
I loved this interview with Dawn French and, as you would it expect, it made me laugh.

Coaching Prompt
"What rituals do you want to keep?"
This is a good question for this time of year. Do you need to do everything? Or can you let some things go?
It may free up some space for you or allow you to create something new

3 songs long

I chose 3 songs for the playlist because it lasts for 10 minutes (ish). That 10 minutes is the perfect length of time for you to either listen, relax, do an exercise snack, walk round the block, or do anything you fancy to music (go wild with your imagination). You can listen to my playlist or make one of your own.
That's it.
Have a great week.
